The author argues that, due to the proliferation of cutting-edge technologies such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and Blockchain, organizations have more options than ever before to better their operations and gain a competitive advantage [1]. This report's primary objective is to evaluate the author's argument and reach a conclusion based on the evidence she provides. In this digital era, when EIS is becoming increasingly essential, it is crucial to stay abreast of the latest technologies and trends in the EIS industry in order to make intelligent decisions and stay ahead of the competition. Therefore, professionals, researchers, and students interested in EIS will find this study to be an invaluable resource, and it will significantly contribute to the existing corpus of literature on the subject.

Main Argument and Aspects

Main argument and research question

In "Enterprise Information Systems of New Generation" by Elena Serova, it is argued that traditional EISs are ineffectual in today's digital society. According to Serova, for modern businesses to remain competitive on the market, they must implement next-generation EIS that incorporate cutting-edge technologies such as Blockchain, AI, and the cloud [1].

The purpose of the paper for MBA assignment expert is to provide a solution to the research question of how next-generation EIS can increase the efficiency and competitiveness of firm operations. Serova argues that traditional enterprise information systems (EIS) designed to handle static functions such as accounting and payroll are incapable of meeting the complex and ever-changing needs of modern enterprises. Modern EIS may offer consumers real-time data analysis, intelligent automation, and adaptable user interfaces. As a consequence of being able to make better decisions in less time, businesses may be able to improve the content of their interactions with clients.

According to Serova, contemporary EIS are distinguished from earlier generations by a number of essential characteristics [1]. For instance, the most recent EIS is said to be highly configurable and modular. Consequently, organizations can rapidly adapt the application to their specific needs and integrate it with their existing infrastructure. In addition, cloud-based options are more adaptable and scalable than on-premises alternatives. The most recent version of EIS also utilizes cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, which allow them to automate previously time-consuming tasks and make intelligent decisions in real time.

The paper's fundamental premise is that organizations must implement cutting-edge EIS to remain competitive in the current digital environment. Businesses that adopt and implement these technologies may improve their efficacy, adaptability, and scalability, as well as the quality of customer service they provide.

Key Points and Examples Used By The Author

Elena Serova's "Enterprise Information Systems of the New Generation" examines the evolution of enterprise information systems (EIS) and the characteristics of new generation EIS. Focusing on data integration, real-time analytics, and aiding in the automation of business processes, this article examines in depth the most crucial aspects of the next-generation EIS.

Serova introduces EIS and its possible benefits to contemporary companies. She underlines that the new EIS is designed to improve strategic decision-making in day-to-day operations, unlike previous versions. After that, the author discusses EIS's real-time analytics, decision-making, and data inclusion capabilities.
Serova convincingly argues for real-time analytics in EIS versions. This lets companies swiftly examine data and make choices based on the latest facts. She thinks that in today's economy, organizations must be able to swiftly adapt to market changes.

The author emphasizes the importance of the next generation EIS's decision-making capabilities. According to Serova, cutting-edge EIS variants provide decision-makers with data visualization, predictive analytics, and simulation modelling. She contends that this enables businesses to make more informed decisions, which might boost productivity.

Serova argues that future iterations of the EIS must include many types of data. She notes that whereas earlier EIS focused more on operational data like sales and inventory levels, more recent EIS make an effort to incorporate a wider variety of data. She goes on to say that previous EIS frequently emphasized operational data. According to her, this provides businesses with a more comprehensive view of their operations and enables them to make more informed decisions.

When discussing the next iteration of corporate information systems, Serova emphasizes the significance of business process automation. She asserts that newer generations of commercial information systems typically include features and functions that enable the automation of routine tasks and procedures. Then, employees can focus their time and energy on more difficult and significant tasks. She asserts that this will result in increased output, enhanced efficiency, and overall employee satisfaction.

Methodology

Methodology Used By The Author To Arrive at Their Conclusion

Enterprise Information Systems of the New Generation is a paper written by Elena Serova that discusses the methodologies used to construct modern EIS. In the methodology, the current EIS is reviewed, a new architecture is created, a conceptual model is developed, implementation occurs, and an evaluation is conducted.

The author emphasizes the importance of analyzing an existing EIS because it reveals the system's strengths and weaknesses [1]. Usability, functionality, efficacy, and security are among the characteristics of the EIS under investigation. According to the author, this phase is crucial because it identifies any voids in the EIS and provides vital information about the current status of the system. These are two of the most significant roles on stage.

Importance of The Methodology To Support The Author's Argument or Research Question

According to Elena Serova's research, which she conducted using a particular methodology, new-generation Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) have the potential to provide enterprises with substantial benefits. The research of Serova highlighted the importance of using the case study method. She concentrated her investigation on four prominent Russian companies in distinct industries. These businesses were selected due to the inventive methods in which they have utilized EIS to enhance their operations, decision-making, and overall performance.

Serova gathered data for her research using a variety of methods, including interviews, document analysis, and observation [1]. She conducted in-depth interviews with the C-suite, IT department, and EIS end-users of each of the four companies. Throughout the interviews, she inquired about how EIS was implemented, its benefits and drawbacks, and its overall impact on the company. In order to gain a greater understanding of the EIS's features and capabilities, Serova also examined a number of pertinent literature [1]. Some of the outputs include user manuals, instructional videos, and technical documentation. She observed user interactions with EIS to evaluate the tool's benefits and drawbacks and to determine how it affected users' daily tasks.

Serova used a technique known as theme analysis to interpret the data she gathered. She utilized data analysis to identify patterns and recurring themes that supported her position [1]. Serova discovered that firms using EIS reported improvements in decision-making, increased efficiency and productivity, and enhanced staff cooperation, among other benefits. She was also familiar with the obstacles that businesses faced during installation, such as the need for human training and the inherent complexity of the system. The data analysis performed by Serova supported her claim that the next generation of EIS has the potential to provide significant benefits to businesses.

Using a technique known as comparative analysis, Serova examined the case study data. Comparing and contrasting how the four organizations utilized EIS allowed her to draw conclusions regarding the generalizability of her findings. She discovered both consistent and divergent trends in the EIS deployments of the four enterprises. Serova found that the advantages and disadvantages of implementing EIS were consistent across all of the companies in her sample, indicating that her findings are generalizable.

Serova's method is essential for proving that the current iteration of EIS may provide significant benefits to businesses, as she asserts. Using a case study approach, she gathered copious amounts of data on the EIS implementation, its benefits and drawbacks, and the company's overall reaction to the adoption of EIS. Serova utilized both theme analysis and comparison analysis to identify patterns in the data and draw conclusions. Serova's research contributes to the literature on EIS by providing examples of the benefits and drawbacks of EIS in real-world situations.

Conclusion

Interpretation of The Conclusions Based on The Author's Argument

The author makes a persuasive case for why cutting-edge information systems are essential for all enterprises in the current economic climate. In today's fast-paced business environment, the previous strategy for commercial information systems, independent software installed on local servers, is inappropriate [4]. Businesses must have continuous, unrestricted access to their data from anywhere and on any device. This degree of flexibility, along with other benefits such as scalability and cost savings, is made possible by cloud computing technology for businesses.

Current is the author's emphasis on big data analytics in the digital age. Even if businesses generate enormous amounts of data, the data is worthless without effective analysis [6]. Big data analytics technologies are able to provide substantial information on consumer preferences, market trends, and methods to improve the efficacy of corporate operations. Those businesses that make decisions based on this information may acquire a competitive advantage.

The author's final point, that mobile computing is growing in significance, is worthy of consideration. The increased availability of mobile devices has altered people's relationships with technology. People are progressively utilizing mobile devices for business and Internet access. To remain competitive, businesses must make their websites and applications mobile-friendly and responsive to consumer demand [3]. Adopting cutting-edge technology is essential to achieving this goal, which necessitates a fundamental shift in how businesses view their data and IT infrastructure [7]. The benefits of implementing new technology far outweigh the costs, and organizations that refuse to adapt risk falling behind the market.

Strengths and Weaknesses of the Article

The article's profundity of coverage on the topic of "next-generation enterprise information systems" is its finest quality. The author elaborates on the characteristics and advantages of implementing such a system in a business. In addition, the incorporation of real-world business examples and case studies enhances the credibility and utility of the essay.

One of the article's flaws is that it does not address the potential disadvantages and impediments of implementing these next-generation technologies. This is crucial information that was neglected. The author concentrates primarily on the advantages, with pricing, user acceptability, and security receiving less attention.
Part of the article's failure is that it does not devote nearly enough time to describing the technical aspects of the systems it discusses, which may be essential for readers with extensive technical knowledge. The author primarily describes the capabilities and benefits at a high level, so readers searching for more specific information may find this page lacking.

In addition, the essay's scope is limited because it concentrates on the benefits and opportunities offered by these systems rather than delving into their implementation or providing examples of effective deployment. Therefore, it may be difficult for readers to completely comprehend the practical implications of these technologies in a commercial setting.

Implications and Further Research

Using next-generation corporate information systems, businesses that adhere to the advice and concepts outlined in this article may be able to improve their operations and gain a market advantage [2]. The article also emphasizes the significance of coordination between business and IT teams, as well as a strategic approach to the creation of corporate information systems.

Future research should delve deeper into the impediments encountered by businesses in the development of next-generation corporate information systems [5]. In addition, studies may be conducted to assess the impact of these technologies on the company's bottom line, consumer satisfaction, and employee productivity. This type of research could aid businesses in comprehending the advantages and disadvantages of implementing next-generation corporate information systems, allowing them to make more informed decisions regarding how to integrate new technologies.
