Zhang, X., Yao, G., Vishwakarma, S., Dalin, C., Komarek, A.M., Kanter, D.R., Davis, K.F., Pfeifer, K., Zhao, J., Zou, T. and D'Odorico, P., 2021. Quantitative assessment of agricultural sustainability reveals divergent priorities among nations. One Earth, 4(9), pp.1262-1277. https://linkinghub.elsevier.com/retrieve/pii/S2590332221004735

Zhang et al. (2019) reflected the advancing sustainability agenda in organizations through the improved engagement of agricultural firms in sustainability-related activities. The scope to provide training and development to people to fulfil the sustainability agenda is also discussed to improve nationwide sustainability practices. The literature survey data collection method in the SAM method formed the review of literature based on the current sources on sustainability management in agriculture. The article is relevant to the research question as it has discussed the implications of sustainability management to develop awareness among the people about the agenda to improve their engagement in social activities. The wider research on the research area helped in accumulating the multidimensional approaches of the authors. The literature survey data ensured an in-depth evaluation of the information, which helped formulate a strong discussion on the research topic. The article reflected the limited scope of fact-based evaluation as it has avoided primary research. The authors demonstrated the current opportunities for training to improve ideas about nationwide social activities among the people. Implementation of sustainable practices in agriculture firms can develop a sense of social responsibility among employees. The idea gained from the article will help me to continue research on the area of sustainable practices in agricultural firms. I have also developed ideas about the importance of sustainability management in engaging people in the national agenda.

Siebrecht, N., 2020. Sustainable agriculture and its implementation gap—Overcoming obstacles to implementation. Sustainability, 12(9), p.3853. https://www.mdpi.com/2071-1050/12/9/3853

In the opinion of Siebrecht (2020), sustainability-related initiatives help to improve farmers’ commitment to agricultural fields. The agricultural climate is determined by the positive approach of the farmers to maintain continuous effort in tackling the obstacles to implementing sustainable agriculture practices. The article focuses on adopting sustainable agriculture initiatives in farms to ensure farmer commitment to solving sustainability-related problems. The secondary data collection method used to collect data using the existing resources helped in improving practical knowledge. The article is useful for understanding the role of farmers in adopting sustainable agriculture initiatives to avoid obstacles in implementing sustainable goals. The fact-based understanding is developed using secondary data. It has reflected the sustainable agriculture initiatives that farms take to improve farmers’ commitment. However, the limitation lies in the mono-dimensional approach of the research. It has narrowed down the topic, which limited the scope of generalization of conclusions. The authors of the article derived results from the data collection method, which helped them state the importance of adopting new sustainable agriculture initiatives at farms to maintain climate and the high level of commitment of the farmers. The discussion helped me to understand the ways of facilitating the sustainable agriculture agenda in farms to maintain farmers’ commitment. Nonetheless, the discussion also will help me to unfold the knowledge on the implementation of sustainable agriculture.

The authors improved their knowledge of the conditions necessary to implement sustainable agriculture practices to ensure transition in farming practices. An insightful understanding of continuous learning, collective vision, and leadership is developed. The information in the article helped me to understand the importance of sustainable agriculture process learning to implement strategies to develop an ecologically skilled workforce to maintain an effective crop-yielding process. The livelihood of the farmers is positively impacted due to the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices. However, the discussion also formed an effective understanding of the relationship between the ecologically skilled workforce and the transition to sustainable agriculture to improve the livelihood of farmers in the future.

The strong points in the article are the evaluation of the sense of purpose of the farmers engaged in sustainable agriculture activities, engagement strategy in sustainable activities, and improvement of the performance of farmers with a sense of social responsibility. However, the limitation is reflected in narrowing the approach to Italian farms. The authors have formed a quality understanding of maintaining farmers' commitment and engagement in green practices and sustainability management. I will use the knowledge about green practices in sustainable agriculture management to continue further research in this area. It has also helped me to assess the importance of the participatory research method in widening the knowledge sphere in a specific area.

The discussion on the research question helped in forming a multidimensional idea about sustainability management in agriculture. The implications of the transition in agricultural practices and green practices helped in improving the livelihood of farmers. Sustainable initiatives in farms help to improve the commitment of farmers toward harvesting crops. The ideas gained from the articles helped in identifying the role of farmers in facilitating the sustainable agriculture agenda. The increased sense of responsibility can be possible through education about green practices and sustainability management in nations. The sustainability management process also helps to improve the relationship between an ecologically skilled workforce and the transition to sustainable agriculture. However, green practices help to improve farmers’ engagement in sustainable agriculture. Therefore, the articles contributed an idea to implement sustainable agriculture practices that may improve farmer livelihood and crop yielding process.
