Context

Project Scope Management involves processes to ensure that the project incorporates all work required to complete it successfully. Managing project scope involves defining and controlling what is included in the project. One of the keys to project success is effective scope management. Uncertainty about a stakeholder's needs or problems leads to a misleading definition (scope of work). Rework and extra effort may impact project costs and timelines.

Documenting how the project will demonstrate compliance with quality requirements and standards is the process of project quality management planning. This process helps to manage and validate quality throughout the project.

For a project to be successful, the performing organisation must define and implement quality policies, objectives, and responsibilities.

2. Critically analyse the Assessment 1 question outlined in the Case Study and conduct research related to the topics outlined in the question.

3. Write a 500-word initial post analysing the question and key issues. Cite all sources used to inform your post, including learning resources and academic or industry literature. The reference list is not included in the word count.

4. Read another student’s post. Consider their post and compare it with the research you have conducted. This approach will allow you to “critique” their view. You can do this by highlighting your agreement and/or disagreement with their post. You must justify and explain your critique. You will need to cite industry and academic literature. Introduction

Project scope is a necessary part of planning that helps in identifying the project deliverabless goals, cost, and job roles. As per the MBA Assignment Expert,  This assignment aims to discuss the impact of scope creep on the project deliverables. 

Effect of Scope Creep on Project Deliverables

Scope creep in a project occurs when changes are done to the project goals without informing the stakeholders. As a result, miscommunication and delays in accomplishment of assigned roles of the project are the major issues faced due to scope creep. As an example, employees and leaders of J.P Consultancy are the major stakeholders of the project and if the management of the firm tend to make any change in the risk management project without informing the employees and leaders, the project deliverables may not be reached within the expected time (Aizaz et al., 2021). Moreover, miscommunications among stakeholders lead to conditions in job roles and responsibilities of the employees as well.  Overall, scope creep has a negative impact on the project deliverables. The quality of project deliverables of Red Bank company may diminish due to such changes in project scope and wrong information among employees leads to unfinished activities in the project. Excessive requirement of financial funds is another challenge faced due to scope creep. 

Communication Process Used by Project Managers To Validate The Variances To Stakeholders

Meetings must be held by project managers of J.P Consultancy whenever they tend to make any changes in the project scope. Similarly, such meetings must include internal as well as external stakeholders so that everyone can be informed about the changes in project planning and scope. New plans must be made so that the changes can be made and job roles and be assigned to employees accordingly. As an example, open communication and discussions must be initiated in these meetings among stakeholders of Red Bank and J.P Consultancy so that the necessity of the changes can be understood by the employees and team leaders (Ajmal et al., 2020). Similarly, any excess requirement for time and budget needs to be informed by stakeholders of Red Bank so that miscommunication and conflicts do not arise within the workforce of J.P. Consultancy. 

Any variance must be validated so that stakeholders' satisfaction can be maintained, and the engagement of stakeholders is prioritized in change management. As per the case study of Red Bank and J.P Consultancy, the project may be delayed if employees of J.P Consultancy fail to inform the CEO and board members of Red Bank about changes in risk management that are amended after the project is initiated. Meetings can be held online or offline mode so that sponsors and shareholders who reside in different parts of the world can be included in the meeting and their recommendations on change management can be prioritized. 

Conclusion

Overall, it can be concluded that scope creep leads to several challenges in the management of project deliverables. The challenges include dissatisfaction among stakeholders, exceeding budget limits, reduction of quality of project outcomes and inability to complete the project within the expected time as a result, J.P Consultancy must hold meetings with all internal and external stakeholders of Red Bank in order to validate any changes in the risk management project.
