You are required to submit a Discussion Forum Report that includes:
1. A critique of a peer post from the Initial Assessment Discussion Forum and
2. A reflection summarizing your learnings.

Context
Business communication can either be internal, within an organization, or external, between organizations. It can also be between existing and potential customers. This assessment gives you the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in selected business communication methods, including an examination of the theoretical underpinnings of communication in an organization.
This assessment has been designed to:
• Appraise your ability to academically research and evaluate characteristics of effective business communication.
• Apply critical thinking skills utilizing supporting evidence to justify arguments.
• You expected to demonstrate practical understanding of application of business communication skills and their importance in professional development.
1. Create a Discussion Forum Report that comprised of a review of a peer post and a reflective summary of the learnings.
2. Part 1 - Review of a peer post
• Using no more than 300 words, critique ONE (1) peer post from the Initial Assessment Discussion Forum.
• Your critique should include commentary on:
• Whether the original post is comprehensive. Please identify missing components, if any, and provide constructive feedback.
• Are sources and evidence included? e.g. in-text citation, reference list
• Are one or more examples provided? Provide a critique on the examples and their suitability in supporting statements.
• You are required to include reference to literature. Use at least 4 in-text citations.
Please include a reference list.
• This review of the peer post should constitute the first part of your Discussion Forum Report.
3. Part 2 - Reflective Summary of Learnings
• Reflect on your learnings and write a summary of your learnings using no more than 300 words.
• Your reflection should answer the following questions:
• How your views of effective business communication have changed since your original post?
• What are the three key points you have learned from the discussions in this subject? and how you can apply that knowledge in the future?
• Give one or more practical examples of how to apply peer review in your professional development.
• You are required to include reference to literature. Use at least 4 in-text citations. Please include a reference list.
• This learning summary should constitute the second part of your Discussion Forum Report.

As per the post of Japheth Mwendwa Mboya, it had adequately conveyed the definition of business communication. I am happy to read the post and it has presented the opinion that for an organisation to succeed and get to the top in its field, honest discourse amongst its members is crucial. MBA Assignment expert, The most straightforward method of choosing between various forms of company communication is to think about the role that businesses themselves have created. Specifically, the term "business communication" is used to describe the exchange of information between employees and non-employees inside and outside of a company (Guffey & Loewy, 2022). Employees, supervisors, customers, prospects, suppliers, and anybody else with whom a company interacts may all take part in such conversations (Guffey & Loewy, 2014).
Likewise, culture meaning is clarified as has also elaborated the comment on definition of culture that covers value, belief and manners along with respecting individual perception. The peer has relevantly covered the concepts and meaningful understanding of culture and business communication.
It can only be commented that explanation could have been done in better manner by giving example of any situation of company where business communication and culture meaning could be more clarified (Benedict, 2019). Examples are not drawn clearly as peer could have explained by giving situation and its application. General statement about business communication and culture has been drawn that gives the basic understanding. References are not adequately used as only one reference is in text. Only links are pasted in the reference list and is not being in-text and with this decreases the quality of the post (Kaul, 2014).
Only peer has covered the example of language that forms effective part of culture. It could have elaborated those types of culture and how it could help in achievement of objectives. The barriers in the business communication and culture could have been analysed to present post in effective manner. Supporting statement could have been clear by giving example, for saying that there are different cultures of people working together that belong to different language. Thus, it would act as problem in business as how employees would communicate (Kapur, 2018). Thus, in such case, managers take actions to set a basic language and also provide language training, organise meeting for engagement, organise parties after office hours, etc (Schullery, 2013). Thus, engagement could overcome language barriers. But adequate use of literature adds to utility and clear understanding of the post.
After my original post, I have developed more understanding and also clarified the understanding of business communication that is vital for organisation as it helps in completing the operations of the business. I believe that business communication basically leads to create engagement among the people working in the organisation also it leads to share ideas among the people. Adequate communication will lead employees to keep informed about key goals and policies of the organisation (Thill et al., 2013). Employees in the workplace can engage and communicate with each other that will affect on their day to day operations and healthy environment of business could be created. After this, it will definitely affect on achieving goals of the business.
From this subject, I have adequately developed appropriate understanding of the business communication and its importance in the business. I have also learnt how it takes place internally and externally.
Second I had also developed effective understanding of the communication methods that are incorporated within the business environment. Further, I had also understood about the barriers while managing the business communication (Gentili et al., 2017).
Third, I have also developed the role of culture in the business. Culture plays an effective role for business as it leads business to respect value, belief and opinion of different employees working in the organisation (Kalogiannidis, 2020).
However, the advantages of peer review go well beyond increased productivity. I would take peer review as the part of feedback for me through which I would be able to plan actions to achieve my goals in future (Norlin, 2014). Peer review might cover some of the weakness and some of the strengths. Thus, these could be utilised to bring change in my personality and change the same for being professional in future.
