Reflection on week 7

Operation management is a very vital aspect of an organization. The process is required to transform the inputs into goods and services that will add value to the customers (Zhang, Wang & Lin, 2019, p1). Therefore, I feel that operation management is vital to generating revenue for a company. As per the MBA Assignment Experts, Consumers require goods and services that are top-notch, which separates two or more companies from each other. Competition is largely associated with the value that the company might provide to the customers. Therefore, to do so, the company's operation management must be very efficient. Indeed, companies settling to just conduct business might not be able to secure a large market. Therefore, it must be made sure that the firms can impose a great deal of importance on the company's operation management. In the discussion forum of week 7, I learned that organizations are required to make necessary changes in their operation management so that the value added to the consumers is very high. The company is guided by the operation management that helps the company to grow. Also, the operation management it is used to tackle the strategic issues that includes the company to size of the products being manufactured and the methods of project management to be incorporated. Therefore, I firmly believe that the company’s manufacturing is highly dependent on the operation management of the company.

As per the postings and response of the other students it is evident that the operation management is one of the most effective parts of the firm. Operational management is a process that is transformational that converts the inputs into goods and services. Therefore, I firmly believe that due to the operational management processes companies that sell goods to generate profit as well as the non-profitable organization. One of the most important things that the operational management does is that it assists the businesses in designing a new process thereby, allowing the organization to develop a value chain (Lin & Peng, 2018, p21). The efficient the value chain of a company is the better is the creation of product and service. Better the creation of the product and service is, better is the customer reach as well as customer retention. Hence, it pans down one thing only that is operational management helps the business to attract customers and retain the customers for a longer period of time. As per another response by a student it is indeed true that a highly efficient operation management will enable the company to generate higher income. Therefore, the operation management of the company is directly related with the profitability of the company. It is so important that the non-profit organizations must have a very efficient operation management in order to improve the quality of the goods and services provided to the customers. Since the non-profit organizations survive on donations and charitable activities therefore, it is fair enough to state that the better the operation management of the organization is the higher will be the amount of donation.
